Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about running FlClash day to day β€” setup, configuration and common hiccups β€” in plain language.

On which devices can I install FlClash?

Android, Windows, macOS and Linux are all supported, and the same subscription link works on each of them.

Which proxy protocols does the app accept?

Thanks to the Clash Meta (mihomo) engine underneath, FlClash handles VMess, VLESS, Trojan, Shadowsocks, Snell, Socks5, HTTP(S) and WireGuard nodes directly, without plugins.

How does subscription import work?

In the profile list, add a new subscription by entering its URL or pasting the link; FlClash pulls down the node list for you, and clipboard import is one tap away.

Can I switch to a dark look?

Sure. FlClash offers light, dark and system-adaptive themes, plus Material You tinting on Android devices.

Will my settings follow me between machines?

Yes β€” connect a WebDAV server and FlClash can synchronize your profiles and preferences across all of your devices.

Do I have to pay for anything?

No. The software is free and open source, contains no advertising and imposes no paid tier or hidden limits. Code is available on GitHub.

How do I start proxying?

Use the circular power button at the bottom right of the dashboard. Pressing it engages the system proxy and applies your current rules.

Is Android TV usable?

Modern releases add a dedicated TV launcher icon, focus-based navigation and controls that work well with a remote, making TV boxes usable.

Where is the safest place to download FlClash?

Only the download center listed on this site and the official GitHub Releases should be used. Look-alike download portals should be avoided entirely.

Why is my antivirus complaining?

Proxy utilities are commonly flagged as potentially unwanted programs. FlClash is auditable open source β€” when in doubt, verify the code or compile it yourself, and always use official artifacts.

Subscription import errors or no connection β€” where do I start?

Renew or re-add the subscription if it has expired, force a refresh on the profile page, latency-test the nodes, and confirm the correct profile is selected before you connect.

macOS refuses to open the app β€” what now?

Since the app is distributed outside the Mac App Store, Gatekeeper shows a warning. Allow it under System Settings β†’ Privacy & Security by choosing "Open Anyway", or right-click the app and select Open.

How do I stay up to date?

Check the changelog for what changed in each version, then take the newest installer from the download page. Early builds also appear on GitHub Releases.

What makes FlClash different from Clash for Windows?

Clash for Windows is effectively retired. FlClash keeps a single, actively maintained codebase for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, and adds TUN mode, WebDAV sync, multiple themes and a modern interface.

Connections feel slow β€” what should I check?

Ensure proxying is actually on, latency-test the nodes and pick the best one, inspect rules that may be forcing DIRECT, toggle between system proxy and TUN mode, and glance at the log panel for clues.
